Over 2 acres of native woodland situated at our Farm site allows students to explore and learn in the outdoors. Packages can be designed to support all curriculum subjects or social and emotional development
DevonPathways is developing a team of mentors, teachers and educators. They work alongside young people and identify their unique talent and skills to raise aspirations and build resilience.
DevonPathways build bespoke 1-2-1 mentoring packages help young people overcome barriers to learning. We work closely with the young persons family, school community and all professionals.
We work with our young people in the community, at our DevonFarm or in our dedicated DevonPathways native woodland area.
DevonPathways believe all Young People have potential and given support can find a pathway that enables them to fulfil their ambitions. Adverse experiences can lead to a negative perception of themselves, professionals and learning environments. By providing young people with a positive professional relationship, identifying what works and how to do it more, DevonPathways will enable the young people to grow self-confidence and resilience and be focused on a positive future.
DevonPathways support young people and their families by providing bespoke 1-2-1-time framed packages. Outcomes are agreed with the young person, their family, school and professionals. Young people are empowered to develop skills that help them overcome the challenges they face in engaging in school and educational environments.
Our son has Autism Spectrum Disorder, and finds public open spaces, noise and crowds overwhelming. After the transition to secondary school, and with the added challenge of Covid, we noticed he was becoming more and more withdrawn, losing his confidence and becoming a school refuser - really finding the social element of day to day life difficult. Grant has been mentoring him for the past few months, and gradually taking him out of his comfort zone, this means that we can eat out, go to the cinema and do things that we had previously had to stop. As a parent you want the best for your child, and we think that Grant has been just that.
We are so grateful to Christina from Pathways, she is a bundle of smiles and positivity. She sees the good in the most challenging child. Fun days out, exploring, watching, finding, learning.
With a therapeutic approach...simply brilliant and lovely lady 👏 👌
